About Sauna Import

Sauna Import is a specialist research site for U.S. sauna trade, tariff classifications and customs rulings. Its goal is to make narrow primary-source evidence easier to find, interpret and cite.

Editorial standard

Primary authority comes first. Customs classification claims are tied to CBP rulings. Trade values come from the U.S. Census Bureau. Tariff rates and Chapter 99 treatment should be checked against the current HTSUS and controlling trade-action materials.

What the site will not claim

Broad HTS categories are not relabeled as a precise sauna market. A category can be sauna-relevant because of a ruling while still containing large amounts of unrelated merchandise. Where the evidence supports only a proxy, the site calls it a proxy.

Freshness policy

Data pages distinguish the reported trade month from the date the site refreshed or checked the source. Monthly datasets are archived so historical citations remain reproducible.

Corrections

If a ruling is modified, revoked or superseded, or a published data transformation is wrong, the affected page should be corrected with the primary source preserved in the research trail. Material methodology changes are reflected in the methodology page and future release notes.

Citation & reuse

Facts derived from U.S. government data should be attributed to the underlying agency. Sauna Import's selection, organization, commentary and charts can be cited to Sauna Import. A suggested citation appears on the data page.

Research limitations

The site is informational and is not a substitute for a binding customs ruling, a current tariff schedule, a broker's entry review or legal advice. Classification and origin outcomes are fact-specific.
